Mecanic Systems is a dynamic, cutting-edge SME that has been operating since 1978 in sheet metal work and mechanical welding, primarily in the subcontracting sector. We need to strengthen our team – and you might be the person we’re looking for!
Role:
You will analyse and define the production process for machined and welded parts and/or assemblies, and provide quotations to clients. You will develop methods and techniques to meet market demands.
Function:
- You define the various steps to be implemented to ensure the production of customer parts or sub-assemblies. Where necessary, you identify subcontracting requirements such as surface treatment, painting, etc.
- You ensure the correct choice of techniques and that the initial production meets the client’s requirements. By liaising with the workshop, you constantly seek to improve methods in order to enhance quality and productivity or to meet new client requests.* If the client so wishes, you will participate in the design of parts and/or sub-assemblies.
- You accurately identify the required tooling (for punching, bending, welding). If necessary, you design and arrange for the production of the necessary tools, such as welding jigs, bending blades, punches, etc.
- You provide quotations for these parts and/or sub-assemblies and ensure the follow-up of tenders.
- Where necessary, you will meet with clients to better understand their needs.
- You will initiate and analyse requests for quotations for materials and subcontracting, and select partners.
Profile:
You are:
- Attentive to the customer’s needs
- Able to draw 3D plans and produce 3D plan layouts
- An expert at reading technical drawings
- Meticulous and efficient
You have:
- Several years’ experience in sheet metal work, laser cutting, folding, bending and structural welding
- An affinity for IT systems (ERP, Excel, CAD) and new technologies
- Good interpersonal skills and a commercial approach
- An analytical mind
- A basic knowledge of English and Dutch
- Rigour and a sense of responsibility
- A desire to progress and take on new challenges
